Roles & Responsibilities

Job Location – Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Gurgaon

Qualification – Any Graduate

Certifications- JNCIA, JNCIS, CCNA

 
Job Description:

1. Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

·      Monitor Juniper-based network infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted services during and post go-live activity.

·      Perform L1.5 troubleshooting for routing, switching issues within the Juniper ecosystem (e.g., MX, EX, QFX series).

·      Proactively identify and resolve network faults, escalating to L2/L3 teams when necessary.

·      Perform system upgrades

·      Execute MOP as per the instructions provided by L2 Leads

·      Capture the output during troubleshooting sessions

·      Execute AT/UAT test as per the document provided by L2 Leads.

·   Coordinate with FE to complete the physical patching as per the plan

 

2. Configuration & Maintenance:

 ·      Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Juniper devices.

·      Apply software updates, patches, and upgrades as directed.

·      Maintain accurate device configurations and backups.

 

3. Support Operations:

·      Respond to customer escalations related to network issues.
·      Provide timely updates and resolutions to service-impacting incidents.
·      Liaise with upstream providers and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot ISP/MPLS backbone issues.
·      Support scheduled service go-live after the AT is complete

 4. Documentation:

 ·      Maintain and update network diagrams, incident logs, and configuration documentation.

·      Create and update SOPs for common troubleshooting and operational tasks.

·      If required, capture and fill in all the MOP template documents as per the golden MOP provided by L2 Engineers.

 

5. Performance Analysis:

 ·      Monitor network performance and suggest optimizations.
·      Utilize tools like Junos Space, syslog servers, and network monitoring systems for analytics and insights.

 

6. Compliance & Best Practices:

 ·      Ensure compliance with security and operational guidelines.
·      Follow ISP best practices for IP addressing, ISIS/BGP/OSPF configurations, and network segmentation.
·      Understanding of MPLS, Optical Networks

 

Preferred Tools Knowledge:

 Junos Space, syslog analysers, packet sniffers (e.g., Wireshark), and ticketing systems.
